DISTRIBUTED TRUST / R&D
TCRF
Trust across nodes
Research into trust boundaries and accountable interaction between local and distributed software nodes.

01 / THE ENGINEERING QUESTION
What does another node’s message allow us to conclude?
When information, state and authority are distributed across nodes.
An incoming message contains information from another participant. It does not necessarily describe current local state, create authority or confirm a physical result. These distinctions are especially important in distributed systems.
TCRF concerns accountable node interaction with explicit separation of received information, local state, authority to act and outcome confirmations.
02 / SCOPE OF WORK
What needs to be defined
- Participant roles and responsibility boundaries
- Integration conditions and expected outcomes
- Evidence requirements for each participant
What needs to be understood
- What exactly does the received message confirm?
- Which decisions remain the local node’s responsibility?
- Which conclusion is justified with incomplete information?
03 / ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Coordinating several software nodes
The review separates reports about work in progress from a verified outcome and identifies which questions need separate confirmation.
This example explains the research subject; it is not a report of a completed engagement.
04 / TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT
Materials for a substantive review
An agreed assessment of a particular candidate should identify, prepare and examine the following materials.
Only a bounded summary of the local BOARD-EX-001 check is public; programme materials are reviewed within an agreed scope. This does not qualify a release. No separate packages for the other five programmes are published here. DA-EX-001 concerns only the inquiry form on this site.
- A map of participant responsibilities
- Questions for checking claimed outcomes
- Boundaries of conclusions about external effects
